It is said that Beni-shuhou might be the next generation of cherry taking over the flavor of Satonisiki.
Beni-shuhou has strong sweetness and bigger in size than Satonisiki.
It is recommended to eat it as a fruity snacks with tea and alcohol.
近年生産地域ではすっかり知名度も定着してきた紅秀峰。佐藤錦から系統を受け継ぎまさに次世代のホープといえます。
甘味が強く酸味が少ないのが味の特徴ですが、粒が大きく、表面もしっかりしているので日持ちも長く熟れる程甘さが増していきます。。食べ応えもありますのでフルーティーなおつまみとして日本酒ともお勧めです。
Beni-shuhou has one more advantage that is its harvest and shipping time is in mid-July. That is About two weeks later than Satonisiki. You can enjoy eating Beni-shuhou due to its difference in harvesting season.

The best season of Satonisiki in Mitsuseki is late June or early July, for about three weeks.
The best season of Beni-shuhou in Mitsuseki is mid-July, for about a week.
